You may have gotten an email that looks like this:
Facebook wants to make sure that your business page is listed in the right category!
If you don’t go in and put your business page in the right category, Facebook will choose it for you!
They are emulating Yelp. Businesses will be indexed by categories and will highlight the reviews they’ve gotten on Facebook. It was quietly launched in December as they slowly rolled it out, checking for glitches and bugs. It’s still not prominently linked from the Facebook home page, but once this takes off, it’s going to give Yelp and Google+ Local a run for their money!
Also check that your cover graphic showcases what you do in a quality graphic. Nothing fuzzy or with text that’s obstructed by the buttons or logo that are fixtures of the page. Make sure your logo (branding) looks sharp and is not cut off. You can’t upload a rectangular logo into the square. It will get cut off and look sloppy!
