How to gain Exposure with what will be Trending in August

Did you know that August is “National Wellness Month”? It’s also “Happiness Happens Month”. What does this have to do with social media marketing? These are going to be trending on Twitter.

“Month” awareness usually trends the first week, however you can obviously use it during the whole month. The “week” observances usually trend the first day of the week. Days usually start trending early in the morning. So when scheduling posts, have them go out first thing on the day.

At the end of each month, I’ll be posting what’s going to be trending in the upcoming month to make it easy for you to plan on how you can spin your marketing message to take advantage and gain exposure. You can create a fun or promo message, write a blog post — especially if it relates to your business — or just show your support.

I love Twitter! What’s cool is that this will help you create a content or editorial calendar for your blog and/or social media posts. You can use them on other networks, but just know that these really don’t “trend” on other networks like they do on Twitter.

Below are August days (yeah, I’m a little late). Here are the 3 Calendars that I go to for this info. They have most of the observances linked to the organizations or history of the observance or awareness days. My list here is not complete as there are lots that I find silly, like “National Grab Some Nuts Day”.
