For retailers, it’s back-to-school time. So, besides that, what’s going to be trending on X (formerly Twitter) (and the other social networks) in August?
How to Use this List to Take Advantage of What’s Trending

“Month” observances usually trend the first week. However, you can use it during the whole month. The “week” observances usually trend on the first day of the week. Days usually start trending early in the morning. So when scheduling posts, have them go out first thing on the day.
I post these at the end of each month so you know what’s going to trend in the upcoming month. This will make it easy for you to plan how you can spin your marketing message to take advantage of and gain exposure. You can create a fun or promo message, write a blog post — especially if it relates to your business — or just show your support.

This will also help you create a content or editorial calendar for your blog and/or social media posts. You can use them on other networks, but just know that these really don’t “trend” on other networks like they do on X (formerly known as Twitter) — maybe on Instagram.
Below are August days. Here are the 3 Calendars that I go to for this info. They have most of the observances linked to the organizations or history of the observance or awareness days. This is just a few of them. Visit the calendars for the full lists.
Keep in mind, unless politics is your business, keep yours to yourself on your company’s social media profiles. Keep business and personal separate. You never want to alienate one side or the other.

You can also use the scheduling tool, Sendible (affiliate link), to post to other social media networks like Facebook, Instagram & LinkedIn. Though trends really don’t work as they do on Twitter, it is still relevant to post regarding these observance and awareness days.
