There’s been a lot of hot “breaking news” lately on social media. However, especially on X (Formerly known as Twitter), I still see the observance or awareness days trending, and even though Elon Musk changed a lot, what’s trending hasn’t changed. These are also great topics for timely blog articles for exposure and draw traffic to your website.
Here are some of the observance and awareness days in September to help you plan your marketing to maximize your reach. Get creative! Even take them offline. For instance, did you know Sept. 1 is National Hotel Employee Day? If you’re in the travel industry or cater to tourists, this might be a good day to thank hotel employees for recommending your business to their guests. A gift card will brighten their day and they’ll remember you for it.
Some are fun, and silly, and some are serious, but the idea is to get exposure by spinning your marketing message around these. You can do special promotions, and articles, or respond with your support. Think about your target market and what’s important to them.
How to Use this List to Gain Exposure
Months start trending early in the morning on the 1st and usually will last the whole day. It’s also OK to post articles any time during the month, though you’ll not get the advantage of the trend on Twitter.
Weeks will trend for the first day of the week, and again, it’s proper to keep posting throughout the week. Days start trending early in the morning. Use Sendible to schedule out posts.
