You can try to go with what “experts” say, but in the end, your audience will tell you.
To Determine What is the Best Time for YOU to Post on Social Media….
- Clearly identify your target market(s) and your Unique Selling Proposition (USP)
- Create persona(s)
- Research your target markets and get to know them – I remember one gal that took a class of mine said that the best time to reach her target was between 1-3 pm, Fridays on LinkedIn.
- Create and curate content, then build a following and relationships — you’ll need at least 100 followers in each network to start gathering data.
- After 30 days of posting regularly — scheduled out with a tool like Buffer — look at your analytics and insights in each account. Facebook tells you when your audience is on and the peak times, so will Instagram. For Twitter, you need Audiense to find the best time to tweet when you’ll get the most exposure. Once you have some data, you can set up Buffer to send out your posts at the optimum times. LinkedIn, unfortunately, doesn’t provide this, so just stick to business hours.
A lot of this is trial and error.
Obviously, at first, you won’t know until you start posting. But if you really know your target, then you will soon see which posts get the most traction.
