Video and Social Media Marketing Distribution Roadmap

video and social media marketing webinar

Many times, I come across content that is so good and timely that I say, “I couldn’t have done it better myself!” In this post, I’m featuring a webinar presented by the Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA) Small Business Bootcamp with my good friend, Taylor Wellman of Financial Potion. I’ve known Taylor for years, and I love how she explains video and social media marketing so well.

Needless to say, video is HOT! I’ve said that in the past, and it’s even HOTTER now! The questions are always “Where, What, and Who?” Where should I post? What should I post? And who am I trying to reach?

Key Video and Social Media Marketing Points

Video and Social Media Marketing Distribution Roadmap
  • Choose platforms where your target audience is most active. Are you B2B or B2C or both?
  • Be consistent in posting your content.
  • Create video content strategically.
  • Focus on capturing horizontal videos to maximize repurposing potential across platforms.
  • YouTube is the primary platform for both B2B and B2C businesses. It’s owned by Google & is the 2nd largest search engine.
  • Make sure you optimized each video. Use TubeBuddy to optimize video performance. It’s an extension for the Chrome browser.
  • Social Media Sharing
    • Pinterest: Despite not being a primary focus in the past, Pinterest was recognized for its significant reach with high-income households and its value in planning and discovery for consumer-oriented businesses.
    • Membership Platforms like Patreon: It’s suitable for creators seeking direct support through membership with potential for educational, entertaining, and training content.
    • LinkedIn – vertical videos to reach peers, referral sources, and a sophisticated audience.
    • Facebook, Instagram, and Threads – All are part of the “Metaverse”.
    • X (Formerly Twitter) to reach a diverse audience.

All in all, you must understand your target audience’s platform preferences. Then, optimize your video content for search and engagement, maintain consistency in posting, and leverage tools and resources to streamline the video distribution process.
